Gameplay Overview
Sorcery stands apart with its mix of collectable card game strategy and the spatial tactics of a board game. Here’s how the game works:
Players: 2
Objective: Bring your opponent’s Avatar to “Death’s Door” and deal the final blow.
Each player uses two decks: a Spellbook (at least 40 cards) for actions and spells, and an Atlas (at least 20 Sights/land cards) which builds the play area.
The board is a 4x5 grid created by playing Sights, which form terrain and generate resources.
Players summon minions, cast spells, and move across the grid to control territory and attack the rival Avatar.
Game rounds include Start, Main, and End phases, with actions such as spellcasting, moving, and activating abilities.
Four elements influence all actions, encouraging creative deckbuilding and unique strategies.
Accessible rules, but deep and rewarding gameplay for those who love mastering complex interactions.
